Day 346

This post is dedicated to someone who, I just found out, lost their father this morning. I hope things go as well and gently as they possibly can.

Pictures: Battleship!

Background: So I put together this battleship that was on its way to be sold or given away to some lucky kid. I've had it for years now, but I really decided to put it back together one last time. I want to put together more complex things like this for the pictures, but I don't have that kind of Lego money right now. In the future, though, don't be surprised to open the blog and see pictures of other blocky creations!

I knew it was megablocks, but if I'm going for more things to build, I'd probably go for Legos.

why 117?

Somewhere around my freshman year in high school, I started seeing this number everywhere I went. I would look at the clock and the time would be either 11:17 or 1:17. I would be customer 117 on a receipt. The date would be 1/17, and I wouldn't realize it until I put it on paper. I found out after the fact that the Halo Spartan is number 117. I even found myself having $117 in my wallet once on pure accident.*

So instead of becoming frustrated at it for much longer, I've dedicated this little portion of the internet to it. Now and again you'll see pictures of the number 117 in various places. I took a picture of $1.17 in change. My dorm room last year was 117 (no joke), so I took a picture of the room indicator. Things like that, you know?

*i don't ever carry around this much money, so don't bother robbing me. I don't think I even have $117 right now, anyway
