Day 314, 315

Absolutely nothing interesting happened yesterday. Nothing good to take a picture of. Well, there probably was, but I missed it.

So today, I took a picture of our sink. I had washed my dishes while waiting on laundry to get done. When I finished, and since nobody else was in the room to make it awkward, I snapped a few pictures before heading out. I like the water droplet in this one, but don't really like the fact that you can see me. I've got another one without me in it at the end, but it didn't turn out as good as I had hoped.

I also have this shirt hanging up. I mentioned it awhile ago (way back in day 87, looking through the tags). This shirt really likes to stay wet no matter how long it circulates in the dryer. I forgive it, though, because it's such an awesome shirt. Don't you agree?

If you don't, I will be disappointed. Or, as the author of Ashley's Story would say, "dissapointed".

That's all for today.

To Ray and Jake, who will never read this,

I'm so sorry. I don't know what else to say. I hate that these things have to happen, but I can't do anything. I know, I have the power to change it, but that's not how things are supposed to be. What has happened and what will happen cannot change. Again, I'm so sorry. But you'll live through everything, I swear.

From,
Wes

Day 283

So I'd like to welcome all these visitors from Amazing Super Powers. I decided to start linking here from my comments there, and apparently people actually click the links in other comments' names. How quaint. It's a great webcomic, and a hilarious read if you get the chance. I hear they've got secret comics, but I probably shouldn't talk about that.

If I get any regular readers from that, they'd bring my total up to...four!

Picture: Dragonite!

Background: I'm starting to play DnD again. Because of this, I get to use my Pokemon dice bag again! I found it during summer break one day when I went to go find all my old Pokemon cards. It had some marbles in it (which I kept, too), so I replaced them with marbles that have corners and lines and things of that sort.

The DnD group is with a bunch of people I met thanks to HvZ/band. Some of them read this. I'm looking at you, CSA chefs! So far we've only played once, but we're playing again tomorrow...I think. Well I just remembered something that may be conflicting, but hopefully not.

(Happy Halloweeen. Quit reading this and go get scared.)

today's video is exactly what i plan to do tomorrow...

Day 229

So, for the two people who read this, remember this post?

Picture: Luvs

Background: I ordered something else from the same company and told them that they were awesome for drawing that pokeball on my receipt. So they drew a pichu. A PICHU. So cute - I can't look at it for too long without thinking "Awwwww!", and I'm not the kind of guy who goes "Awwwww!" at just anything. These guys are amazing. I should also probably tell you what shirt I bought. If you don't know the game, then you need to buy a DS and play it. Or just get the game and play it if you already have a DS. It is worth it. Even if you don't like Japanese style RPG games, you can easily get over it. The story and gameplay is phenominal.

today's video is flowery violence...

Day 199, 200

Whoo! So this covers yesterday and today.

First picture is MONEY! Cha-ching! Not just any ordinary money, but $2 bills and the old $5! If you really must know why I have these, well I've got this problem. Apparently I keep all the things that I think are strange, out of the ordinary, not seen every day, the list goes on. So I kept the three $2 bills I got, and I kept these $5 when I found them in circulation. Do you see any of them anymore? I didn't think so. I've also got $1 in drummer boy quarters, a franc, and a few other interesting coins that are uncommon in the USA. I'm a dork, alright? But this is just trying to show why it's taking ages to clean my room - there's so much junk that needs to be thrown out or stored. I really don't know how I got most of it in here.

Next, if you want a graphing calculator, then I've got this one here for $80. I normally wouldn't try to sell anything here, but someone asked me for pictures of it so one thing led to another, and now this picture is up here. There's a story behind it, sort of. I already had one of these, but I lost it in my high school band's drum room. It stayed lost for about a week before I got a new one. Several months later, it shows up again in the band room. I knew it was mine from the programs that were in it. So I decided to put the newer nearly-brand-new one up for sale for a decent price.

Other than that, I mostly got over my cold today. I'm now hacking up the drainage, but I'm okay with that - mostly because I don't feel like sleeping all day like I did on Sunday. Though, staying up to 3am like I've just done probably isn't helping. So, goodnight.

Day 137

Close...almost midnight

Picture: My church

Background: Yeah, like I said yesterday, I went to a little social at church. I took advantage of the emptiness of church to take a few pictures, but I was pressed for time. They didn't come out as well as I hoped, so maybe some day (and hopefully with a better camera) I'll grab better pictures. It's really an awesome place.

I forgot to mention that I had exactly $117 in cash yesterday. I had $100 to deposit at the bank and $17 from just having cash. I was counting it all at one point and then just sat there and sighed. Figures. Later, my mom had me read off a number that went something like "...761177..."

Day 87

OH MY GOD YES

Picture: Pokeball

Background: YES YES YES. It's finally here! I've been waiting over a week for it, and this morning I thought it wasn't here because I hadn't received the email yet. But my t-shirt finally came in the mail! The best part of all of it isn't just how amazing the t-shirt is. It's also that they actually followed my instructions of drawing a Pokeball (see picture below). There wasn't a receipt in the bag itself, so they sent the package (today's picture) with the Pokeball drawn on it. This was, honestly, the single thing that turned around my already-crappy Monday into a good day. As in, I was having a horrible day until I went and grabbed this package. Even though I've still got a long day ahead, I think I can get through it. I now have this shirt. I can do anything.

Day 67

Epic link for the day, right here.

Picture: Another flower

Background: In the little garden in the Skiles quad, there's a few nice little flowers. I was passing by and almost just passed them up, but I decided to stop for a moment and grab a couple pictures for myself. I didn't quite like how they turned out, to be perfectly honest, so I might go back there some time and take a few more. Probably a lot more, since I only really had time to take 4 pictures. I have to rush to my Tuesday lab right after English in the span of ten minutes. It gets better on Thursdays when I have to go across campus and get points docked if I'm 10 minutes late.

What saddens me is that I didn't have my camera out for the guy on a unicycle that passed me not long after. It was pretty awesome to see, though.

today's video is half an hour of funny...

Day 66

I'M SO ASHAMED! I had today's picture lined up yesterday. Yesterday. And I got caught up with dorm room happenings, hall council, and schoolwork that I completely skipped the post for today (well, yesterday, so I had the picture two days ago...whatever).

Picture: When I live by the garden and the sea

Background: Of course, me and my nature pictures always prevail. Before I began Project 365, I was taking many, many pictures of the flowers in the garden outside. I put up a lot of them on the internet to be viewed. I really like macro photos [taking pictures of things up close], and many of those pictures are flowers up close. I've actually been putting up my Project 365 photos in the same place, and I plan to put them all together some time in one big album. But that's later down the road when I finish this.

Speaking of the future when I finish this, I do have a few ideas of things to put up here. It won't be updated nearly as often, as I can't come up with material for 365 pictures, much less independent posts without pictures to blab on about. I think I've mentioned it here before, but I'm working on a story - I may post an excerpt or two, maybe, or at least a short synopsis explaining what it's about.

Last, but definitely not least, I've become an uncle again, for the 6th time! I'm heading up on Friday to go see my little niece. Can't wait!

today's video is probably the most amazing take on the pokemon series...

Day 53

Sittin' in the Student Center. Updatin' early. Spring Break next week. No tests this week. Heck yeah.

Picture: @_@ The colors...

Background: Got to go up with the astronomy club last night. It was pretty cool - seeing the moon up closer than I have before. I loved the skyline and wanted to grab a few pictures of it before leaving for the night. Unfortunately, I don't have a tripod and there was nothing to keep the camera steady on. I thought maybe one or two of them would come out with decent focus, but it was not to be. As I looked through the ones I took, I thought this one looked pretty cool with how it had a vibrated effect to it. Like you were a little out of focus or something. Because it was vibrated, and it was out of focus, oddly enough.

One of my internet friends is supposedly within 10-20 minutes driving distance from where I'm at. It's a shame we're both busy though, because it would've been cool to finally see someone that I've talked ages to and never really got to meat.

Yes, meat. Yes, I intentionally make that typo. You should too, it yields some hilarious results.

today's video is a crazy pokemon stadium battle...
