Day 306

Dang, I have less than two months to go. I'm in the final stretch, baby!

Picture: All-in

Background: The lighting in my room is horrible. I had to back away and use flash for this one; my finger covered half of the flash so it wasn't too brightly lit (a trick the Photo Club taught me). It turned out okay, but I've done better.

I would like to try something different today. I want to write a letter. So, here it goes...

To someone who will probably never see this,

You're a good guy. I probably could've tried to take out more time to get to know you, but I'm pretty shy around people I don't know or have any ties to. I know almost nothing about you, and you probably know almost nothing about me. The one thing I do know is that you enjoy the cold. You seem to bask in the weather meant for the Arctic. I fully understand and respect this, don't get me wrong. But I am a warm weather creature. When I have to wear a jacket in my own room so I don't shiver, I get mad. That A/C doesn't need to be on in November, no matter what the weather is. I can't cope with cold (though I've never told you that). And that little bit of madness created by waking up to a freezing room gets tucked away, to be hidden with the rest of my anger from other sources. However, this is probably one of the more major sources I have.

I'm just writing to inform you that, when I finally snap and have that one single eruption of my fury, that you have contributed. It probably won't be against you, that blast of hatred that I will be spewing out. In fact, soon I may never see you again. But if you do read this, and I do explode, just know that a little bit of it was because of you.

From,
Wes

Day 199, 200

Whoo! So this covers yesterday and today.

First picture is MONEY! Cha-ching! Not just any ordinary money, but $2 bills and the old $5! If you really must know why I have these, well I've got this problem. Apparently I keep all the things that I think are strange, out of the ordinary, not seen every day, the list goes on. So I kept the three $2 bills I got, and I kept these $5 when I found them in circulation. Do you see any of them anymore? I didn't think so. I've also got $1 in drummer boy quarters, a franc, and a few other interesting coins that are uncommon in the USA. I'm a dork, alright? But this is just trying to show why it's taking ages to clean my room - there's so much junk that needs to be thrown out or stored. I really don't know how I got most of it in here.

Next, if you want a graphing calculator, then I've got this one here for $80. I normally wouldn't try to sell anything here, but someone asked me for pictures of it so one thing led to another, and now this picture is up here. There's a story behind it, sort of. I already had one of these, but I lost it in my high school band's drum room. It stayed lost for about a week before I got a new one. Several months later, it shows up again in the band room. I knew it was mine from the programs that were in it. So I decided to put the newer nearly-brand-new one up for sale for a decent price.

Other than that, I mostly got over my cold today. I'm now hacking up the drainage, but I'm okay with that - mostly because I don't feel like sleeping all day like I did on Sunday. Though, staying up to 3am like I've just done probably isn't helping. So, goodnight.

Day 181

Earliest update in a long time.

Picture: Moneys

Background: I cleaned out my car of change and came out with all this. There are a few little slots in front of the gear shifter that I've been storing all my loose change. I prefer using cash over plastic, so I've been getting plenty of change. It all comes out to $4.05 - hopefully I can roll a few more of these up and run to the bank sometime. Which reminds me, I've got something like $17 to take to the bank to exchange for bills...

today's video is a classic british tune...

Day 159

Tiringly good day

Picture: GENTLY

Background: I came up with this idea after the boss sent out an email. She had other stuff in the email of course, but part of it was asking where all our pens were. So I took a cup, cut off the top, and used the magnet to hold it up. Pens go inside, and they stay there unless being used.

Got less sleep than I'm used to. But I got some good tips today, and I got paid. Then I went home, took a shower, and headed off to an Irish Pub. Where I won a $40 gift certificate. So yes, it's been a good day, but I'm a bit tired. What's better, though, is that I'm spending tomorrow with friends. It's gonna be pretty awesome. Then workworkworkworkworkworkwork. But that means money. So I don't mind at all. I'm definitely thankful to have a job; that's for sure.

today's video is brought to you by nambla...(ignore the part after 3minutes if you don't care, like me)...

Day 152

I did lots more today than I did yesterday.

Picture: Moneymoneymoney

Background: But it's not my $100. I had to run by the farmacy to grab some meds for stuff, and Mom told me where to find a $100 to pay for it. So I was playing around with it in the car while I was waiting for the prescriptions, etc. After that, I went to Ms. Schooling's house and played with him on his new Kinect. It was fun but weird. Then I showed him a song or two, and he showed me a song or two. Then I went to play three card poker, and ended up dealing instead. At least I got a free appetizer or entree or something for dealing. Good day. And tomorrow, I have a full photography thing planned out until I have to work. Hopefully I'll actually get up and go do it. Hopefully.

As for now, I now have "is photography of money illegal" in my google search history. Bam!

today's video is about the president...

Day 140

Whee!

Picture: Gettysburg Quarter

Background: I got this as change from Burger King today. I had no clue they where coming out with these! I knew there were Puerto Rico and Guam quarters, but major historical battles? Maybe there will be a D-Day quarter too. I don't keep up to date with these things, though, so I expect to be surprised within the next few months.

I was talking in a British accent at work and Burger King today. Apparently I was convincing - one of my first customers asked me where I was from. The funny thing was that the only person that I had served before was deaf, so he wouldn't have known that I was messing with my voice. I might just keep it up, too. Maybe not every day, but it sure was fun.

...I'm a dork, okay? You should know this by now.

today's video is about having a delightful evening...

Day 115

Video games are horrible, horrible things.

Picture: Quarters!

Background: Sub-par picture today because for one, it's 2:50am, and for two, I didn't have anything interesting going on today. Video games kept me going from around 7:30 all the way until I started this post. Remember that whole big deal about the state quarters? I've got six left to go. Six! And they're all the quarters with the D on the front. All the P quarters are already on the other side. Yes, that's the carpeting in my room. Don't judge me.

today's video is about being late...

Day 90

Ha! Not late! Just barely. Also, three months in? Holy bajeezus.

Picture: Loose change

Background: And now my hand smells like coins. Like the metal smell when you get a whole bunch of change in your hand if you sort them all out into rolls and whatnot like I do every now and then. I've got a lamp (that I use for lighting) that has holes in it's base that is currently holding my loose change. It even spins in place! Whee! Maybe I'll take a picture of that next time I don't see anything interesting all day.

today's video is dedicated to a recent game release...
