Day 216, 217

I'll owe you a Saturday picture, then.

First picture here is the most ghetto* way to open a can. Hammer and screwdriver to open a small hole in it, then the pliers to pull open the lid. No pain involved...thankfully. It was slightly annoying to scrape the food out of the can itself with a plastic fork, but everything turned out well in the end. That night I ate with my roommate from last year - and it was delicious. You'll probably not think the combination that we had was good, but forget that! It was good! Then we played video games for the next hour or so while my roommates drank and played games out in the room lobby.

Next, it's my campus! That tradition that it not endorsed by the college has led to signs that read "WES CAMPUS". Therefore, since my name is Wes, I own half of campus! But yeah, not too much of note has happened. I went to a volleyball game that turned out really well. I saw a couple episodes of Dr. Who. There's not really much else to report on my end, hence the lack of interesting pictures.

today's video is about planking...

Day 198

Man, cold medicine tastes nasty. Well, Dayquil, at least.

Picture: TeeVees

Background: The one in the back is the one my brother gave me for free. I believe you've already seen it if you have managed to read my blathering for that long. The one in front, though, is my new one! Insignia, 24", LCD, 1080p. I'm not exactly sure what will happen to the old TV; I might give it back to my brother to sell at the family yard sale we're having sometime next month. I don't know if there will be any takes, though, because it weighs somewhere between 200-400 pounds. I've already tested out my new TV with some gaming antics. Which reminds me - if you have Xbox Live, and Halo:Reach or L4D or Burnout or something, feel free to grab my gamertag. Ask nicely, now <3

today's video is a classic...

Day 70

Home for the night. Tomorrow will probably have a late update since I'm not getting back to my dorm until late. Happy April Fools' Day, by the way. Pull any good tricks on anybody?

Picture: TV!

Background: This is the TV I moved into my dorm last week. The one regular reader I have (myself) might remember the picture of the TV stand on the Monday of that week. Well, this thing is heavy. Hong Kongian roommate and I couldn't lift it on both the drawers and stand. The thing is so nice compared to my old TV. Soooo nice. And we've got the Xbox 360 hooked up to it, and I'm stealing the N64 from the house and hooking that up too. I've also got some awesome movies down there that, if you haven't seen, you need to. Now.

Day 59

Long day => Long post

Picture: A TV stand.

Background: So, three main things happened today. First, I woke up earlier than I have woken up in probably a year to go work with brother and dad. Since I'm not used to physical labor, it took its toll. Second, the shower afterward? Heavenly. It's been awhile since one has been that relaxing. Since I haven't had a sincerely private not-near-hallmates shower in awhile, I took the liberty to actually sing a few songs. The third involves this nice little TV stand you see in the picture. After that shower, I had to wait a bit for my vehicle to arrive home. Once it did, I carried in the groceries that came with it (if I tried to carry the woman driving, I might hurt one or both of us), and prepared the car to hold a nice TV and stand. Drove to the brother's house, picked up the heavy, painful-to-lift TV, and loaded it into the car. Drove down to the dorm. Called roommate, who had to call another hallmate because roommate and I couldn't pick it up together. Bring into room. Carry the less massive stand into room. Try to arrange stuff around, and decide to postpone until Saturday. Which is actually going to change. Took the stand home because it was taking up way too much room in the dorm (and roommate and I couldn't lift it onto the drawers+stand without killing someone). Grabbing some food because it had been awhile since I ate. Came home, took stand out, took a picture, and sat down and begin writing this post (among other internet-reading-gaming things).

So yes, it has been a long day for me. I feel as if I might fall asleep trying to find a video that none of you will probably watch anyway :D

today's video is actually pretty hilarious, and worth the watch...
