Day 147

Ooop!

Picture: More turkeys!

Background: There were seven. Now there are six little turkeys. According to the 'rents, they ran one of them off. I have no idea why, but they did. They were hanging around the little concrete area outside the garage as I was off to work yesterday. Unfortunately I was only able to get one unblurry picture, since they like to move and my camera likes to make sure I know that my hands shake just barely. Fantastic!

Day 138

Three card poker in about an hour! Hurrah! Maybe I'll actually win something for once.

Background: So I was sitting in my room, wondering what in the world I was going to take a picture of. Suddenly I hear Mom shuffling quickly towards my room, saying "Wes, Wes! There's seven baby turkeys!"

Yeah, there really were seven baby turkeys out there. Plus their mommy, which is pictured to the right. I looked around my room for my camera and dashed outside to see them. I was snapping as many pictures as my camera would allow, but I only got three good shots out of them all, two of them I'm putting up here. We've had the turkeys in the backyard for a few years now, and Dad usually feeds them sunflower seeds or something. This is why I want a better camera, though, so I can get more than three good pictures out of the 30 or so that I took before they left...

Day 131

About to play some 3 card poker, baby

Picture: There's something missing...

Background: The deck! It doesn't have a railing! The 'rents decided to expand it (finally), and Dad took the railing off yesterday. I took this, which I've been meaning to, and some WIP pictures for the 'rents. Apparently Mom already got the Before pictures. I'm curious as to how it'll turn out. There's lots of talk about how far it'll go out, about pergolas, and the wall below. I might take an after picture just for you guys. Because I love you.

Day 22

Okay, I have to admit, yesterday's post was probably my favorite one so far. That's not to say I don't love my other ones, but that one was a lot of fun to "write". Since I feel like my two or three readers deserve an explanation, here ya go. If you go to the area near the student center (that's NOT under construction) and start looking around on the ground, you're bound to come across that little metal plate that has a question mark on it. Nothing but a question mark. Personally I think that it's one of the weirder things on campus. The links in yesterday's post were just other things I thought should relate to the picture, especially the video of the Riddler's 10 best riddles. And speaking of Batman...

Picture: Robin! (okay, I really don't know if this is a robin, but I wanted to make the pun)

Background: This was actually taken the same day as the ??? picture. Today I've been busy with sleep and gaming at my brother's house that I never took a picture. I think this cute little bird should rectify (haha, funny word) the situation though. I mean, there were something like 4-5 of them all scattered around eating stuff from the ground and whatnot. Since the area around campus is so nature-friendly, a lot of the birds and squirrels aren't very afraid of people. You can get within 5 feet of a squirrel before it runs off. Birds are a little more jumpy, but I still got within a good range for the picture (which is still a bit blurry, but whatever).

Day 13

Another early update!? Awesome.

Picture: It's a paper...bird? Thing?

Background: My roommate made this last night (it was 1AM, so technically this counts as a picture I took today). He's planning on hiding them around campus and making some sort of game out of them. We're still working out the whole rules or whatever, but I'm helping out. Seems like it could be lots of fun! I think it's supposed to be a goose or duck or something, but I'm not entirely sure. Whatever it is, he says he's going to be making a bunch of them. Though, with only the 25-50 he's planning on getting done, I'm not sure if they'll be that noticeable. I'm thinking we need to go hide them during the early morning hours when there's nobody out (*note to self: propose this to him). There might be like a sort of reward or point system or something. Right now he's just getting them made. I think it'll be fun.

Day 10

fffffff- Rushed post so I can get to work on the half a dozen things I need to do before tomorrow morning. Heavily considering skipping my morning class to get stuff done. :(

Background: I was on my way to the dining hall and I looked up. Birds. Lots of them. There were more that flew around and past them. It was a bit creepy to see, but cool regardless. But if it wasn't for this, I never would've gotten a picture for today.

Went to Casino night (which was a partial mistake partial win). So it's later in the night than I wish it was. Right now I can count at least six things that I have to get done by 1:30pm tomorrow. And this Project 365 post is making me stresssssss. So just a song for today instead of a video. Because I'm lazy and hurried right now. Blargh!
