Day 290

Bam! On time today.

Background: This poor thing was in the volleyball sand all during Pit practice, and I was hoping it would stay there so I could snap a few pictures of it before we headed over to full band practice. I did get that chance, although I didn't get nearly as many as I wanted since we were a tad late moving over.

And now, I feel like a jerk because I didn't help it. I was being pushed into hurrying up and moving over (along with the other 3 that were taking pictures) so I didn't give it a second thought. Hopefully someone did something, as the poor creature looked like it was stuck in the sand or something. It wasn't moving very far from where it was :(

Ah, well. In other news, absolutely nothing of note happened to me today. Just like Good Friday, 1930.

Day 14

Blargh! Tons of stuff to do and I'm not doing it. Double blargh! But hey, two pictures for today.

Background: My songbook finally came yesterday! Woohoo! I love Philip Wesley's work, and I've been wanting to play more of his music. I can already play the one I linked above (bought it before I got the book). I'm on his emailing list and he sent out word that he had a songbook for $20 and he'd sign it too. I snatched it as soon as I saw the email, figuring the songs were cheaper in the bundle than bought separately (including two Christmas songs). I found out as I was waiting for it to arrive that it went up $10...so I saved by getting it early! Philip even personally emailed me. It was awesome. Already starting to learn Light and Shadow and got through the first page or so.

Day 4

Rain! Cold rain! I hate the cold. But I'll live; I've had a good track record of surviving winters so far.

Background: This. It's even seventy seven seconds long! (that's 1:17 for those too lazy to math) So how could I not include it? It's actually on my cycling playlist, too. Along with some other fast paced songs that are awesome (Anamanaguchi, anyone?). I got this bike mostly thanks to my roommate who told me about an awesome bike sale place on campus. It's very used, but it works well. Just some squeaky brakes that I can live with. If it wasn't winter right now I'd be riding it around more, thought I might have to take it out on Thursdays just because of the rush from going from one side of campus to the other in ten minutes.

Today was a big rush of trying to get stuff done. I snapped this picture on my way back from morning class and (almost) immediately got to work and barely finished in time to get to my afternoon class. Other than that it's been a dull, rainy, winter day.

Also, I'm editing this in because I can. I'm conquering planets tonight. It'll probably turn into a Tuesday/some Thursday night thing since that's the best time for the guy I play with. We started a game, still need to finish it. Sins of a Solar Empire is the name of the game. It's pretty cool, but I still suck at it. Oh well.
